TRAVEL PERMIT FOR US BORN CHINESE BABIES

DOCUMENTS

1. Original baby's Passport  (If your baby does not have a US Passport, please see How to Get A Passport)

2. Original baby's birth certificate, AND a copy of it.

3. Original Chinese Passorts of  both parents'

4. AND copies of both parents' Passports (just first page with their photos, and the renewal page if you have renewed the passport)

5. Original both parents' I-94 cards AND a copy of it.

6. Original both parents' I-20 and/or  H1 Form AND a copy of it.

7. A completed Travel Permit Application Form (Download Here)

8. A Child Presence Form (to prove the child is in USA) (Download Here)

9. Two color photos to be attached on the application form

    (2 Inches passport size photo, front face, white background)

10. A money order of $65 payable to Metropolitan Express for 6 workday service

    Or a money order of  $105/person for 2-3 workday service

    Or a money order of  $125/person for Nest workday service (See FEES)

SHIPPING METHOD FOR RETURN

    A. $20 in addition for Next Day shipping with tracking number and insurance

        Or $10 in addistion for 2-3 day shipping with tracking number and insurance.

    B.  Or You can include a self-addressed envelope with prepaid postage or FedEx, UPS account number for return. 

   C.  A cover letter with baby's Chinese name, parents' chinese names, phone number, home address for returning your Travel Permit and Email address. We will keep you informed via Email when your status has been updated.

 
SCENARIO
It takes Chinese Consulate 5-6 Business Days to process. Plus 2 days for FedEx or UPS next day  shipping to go back and forth. Or a longer turnaround time for FedEx 2 day to go back and forth If you are not in a hurry.
